fantasy baseball

Back in 1991, way before it was popular and certainly pre-internet, Jim (and his partner Ray Hanvey) along with me, my brother Matt, brother in law Jim G., and a few other baseball fans began a fantasy baseball league. That league is still going strong today 25 years later. Jim ("team 6") was our league treasurer, won the league that first year, and continued to serve as our league treasurer for many years thereafter before moving to KS. Jim and I had a lot of contact those early years as I was the league commissioner and statistician. It was at Jim's urging that we finally obtained a website of our own on CBS Sportsline. Jim set it up and we continue to use that site and the League name (the "rotowizards") establsihed by Jim. I spoke with Jim a few times after he went to KS, but eventually we lost touch. I was glad to hear he came back to KP and reunited with his family while I was away in Boston. RIP Jim.  Pete D. ('team 8")
