Obituary for Jim Kash

Jim Kash
James B. Kash (Jim) was a self-proclaimed explorer, a seeker of knowledge; an avid fan of Game of War (weird), and Fantasy Football and NFL Football. More importantly to Jim, though, he was a father, and on May 10, 2016, he passed away peacefully with three of his children by his side at the age of 59.

Jim was born on May 8, 1957, to Warren J. Kash Sr. and Eunice Q. Kash. He spent time working in the HVAC trade and at one time owned his own company Kings Park Mechanical and his last position was Project Manager with North Shore Climate Control. He has worked at many positions in HVAC in New York, Kansas and Georgia.

Although some of his life was spent moving from one place to another, love came in the form of his children, Julie, Michelle and James whom he reconnected with along with his former spouse Donna. Donna has passed and he was grateful that he was welcomed back. Ashley Moody and Karlee Skinner, who are the children of his former spouse Cheri, brought him much love and happiness and loved seeing them whenever they could be together, He happily settled in Smithtown, NY where he could attend his grandchildren’s sport events.

Jim is survived by his children, Julie Fischer, Michelle McFadden, James Kash, their spouses and 10 grandchildren; and his step children, Ashley Moody and Karlee Skinner; his former wife, Cheri Kash: his mother Eunice Kash, his sister Anne Kash, brother Warren Kash, and his twin sister Sharman Popovich and their spouses. He has numerous nieces, nephews and many other loved family members. He is preceded in death by his father Warren J. Kash Sr. and his former wife Donna Genna Kash.

A wake will be held at Clayton funeral Home, Meadow Road, Kings Park, NY, Thursday, May 12, 2016 2pm to 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
