Dear Aunt Mary, Michael, Mark, Peter and family, I have wonderful memories of Uncle John. I always felt the love and warmth he had for us kids whenever he was around. He had a great sense of humor too, always kidding with us. It's funny how some memories remain sharp and clear in spite of the passage of time. Whenever Uncle John was over for a visit, it seemed to be my brother John's and my bath time that night. We would emerge in our pajamas and Uncle John absolutely had to have us come over for inspection of our hair to see that it was clean and had that Breck Shampoo clean smell and feel. Of course, I don't ever remember failing inspection. I have always felt it a great blessing to have had him as someone to look up to and emulate. He could not hide his strong faith and it sustained him. You are in my prayers, that your faith will sustain you too. Love, Gerard
