Kathleen Mary Lacey, nee Kathleen Byrne, born February 4, 1939, at 21 the Numbers, Graiguecullen, Carlow, Ireland to James and Mary Byrne. She emigrated, with her husband Michael Lacey, to Kings Park, New York, where she spent her life and raised her family. She worked for many years and retired from Kings Park State Hospital. During all that time she never failed to always be there to take care of her family. She went home to be with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 9, 2021. She is survived by Michael Lacey, her beloved husband and love of her life for 65 years as well as 4 loving children, Margaret Silecchio (Rick), Michael Lacey (MaryLou), Kathleen Hendrikson (James) and Karen Mullady (Christopher). She is also survived by 7 loving grandchildren, Rick Sailecchio (Kate) of Smithtown, NY, Amanda Silecchio of Denver, Colorado, Kevin and Brian Lacey of Cary, North Carolina and Christopher, Brendan and Paige Mullady of Fort Salonga, NY. She is predeceased by her brother, Dick Byrne and is survived by 8 brothers and one sister. Reposing Tuesday October 12th 4 pm to 8 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, Inc. 25 Meadow Road, Kings Park, NY. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's church, Kings Park on Wednesday, October 13th at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at St Patrick's Cemetery Mount Pleasant Road, Smithtown, NY 11787.
