William E. Nelson
August 25, 1933 – August 30, 2021
William E. Nelson, a long time resident of Kings Park, NY passed away with his family by his side, after a battle with cancer. Bill was the beloved husband of the late Lois C. Nelson(Gennett) of Huntington, NY.
Born in Roosevelt, NY to the late Anders and Florence Nelson, he graduated from Hempstead High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956, stationed in Munich Germany as a Communications Specialist. After completing his tour of duty, Bill met Lois and they married in 1959.
Bill received his MBA from C.W. Post College. He had a successful career as a Contract Administrator with Grumman Corporation for over 34 years. Lois also worked at the same company. They both retired in retired in 1994. They had a wonderful life travelling all over the world. Lois and Bill were married for 61 years before her passing in April 2020.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Donna Kincaid and her Husband John, and Linda Jayakar and her husband Gautam, and his grandchildren Erika Kincaid, Mary Kincaid, Casey Kincaid, Nelson Jayakar and Nicholas Jayakar.
Visitation Tuesday September 7th, 2021 from 3pm to 7pm at the Clayton Funeral Home, Inc. 25 Meadow Rd, Kings Park, NY 11754
