Murphy, Richard A. of Oak Beach, NY on March 26, 2021. Beloved husband of Kim Riley Murphy. Devoted father of Richard and his wife Elizabeth and John and his wife Theresa. He is survived by the bright stars in his life, grandsons Jacob, Patrick and Joseph. Also survived by his mother-in-law Joyce Riley and sister and brother in laws Robin and Martin Aviles and Thomas Riley. Loved by Joseph (Wendy) and Matthew (Meagen) Stephani. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his baby boy Peter Joseph, his first love Carol and his brother Joseph. Richie was a proud member of the US Army 101st Airborne. He enjoyed a great career with the LIRR where he made lifelong friends. He felt blessed to retire to Oak Beach and enjoyed his membership in the “Friars” Golf Club. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10:30am Wednesday March 31, 2021at St. Joseph’s RC Church in Kings Park. Cremation will follow Privately.
