Mary Ellen Gahan, age 81, passed away, surrounded by her family on Monday, March 1, 2021. She was born on April 26, 1939 in Kilcar, County Donegal, Ireland to Daniel and Margaret O’Donnell. On September 22, 1962 she married James Gahan. Together, they had three children. John (Mary), Margaret (Meir), Daniel (Diane). Some of her favorite times out and about were to be with family and to watch her grandchildren play basketball and soccer. She is survived by her 3 children, 12 grandchildren (Katherine, James, John, Michael, Joseph, Daniel, Aiden, Hanna, Noah, Matthew, Danielle and Shannon) and 4 great grandchildren (Audrey, Gabriel, Jack and Ryan). Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 3:30 at Clayton Funeral Home, 25 Meadow Rd, Kings Park, NY. Mass on March 4, 2021 10:00 at St. Pius V, 8 Pond Pl, Oyster Bay, NY. Burial followed at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY.
