Obituary for Michael Malison

Michael Malison
Michael “Mickey” Malison, born on August 4th, 1940 grew up in Ithaca, New York. He attended Clarkson University and post graduate, Cornell University. He was a Fraternal member of Delta Upsilon. Michael is survived by Susan Malison, his beloved wife, children Tracy, Scott, and Brian along with their spouses Paul, Nancy and Susannah. Grandchildren include Christopher, Kimberly, Lexi, Michael, McKenna and Meredith. He is also survived by his sister, Diane Malison Hardin. Michael was an Aerospace Engineer for Grumman Corp. and has been retired for over 25 years.

He enjoyed building. He built rockets and spacecraft for Grumman, birdhouses and furniture in his workshop, but most importantly he built a great family. He taught us many valuable lessons. Focus on your goals. He taught unconditional love, how to build great relationships and great reputations- the foundation of his legacy. He gave us all the tools to endure and the strength to be resilient. If you were lucky enough to know MJM, you were blessed. He will forever be our role model, the architect of who we have become. Mike had a zest for life and living the way he wanted… In the words of Frank Sinatra “I Did it My Way”.
