James Richy

I’m sure going to miss my big brother John. He was always a person I looked up to, leading my brother Bill and myself to many of the important life choices we made. He loved fishing, and he introduced Bill and myself to fishing all the time down the beach on Hawkins Street. We love fishing to this day (although maybe not as much as John did). He loved going to the movies at the Raymond Theater to see 1950’s science fiction and monster movies. Bill and I went with him every Saturday and loved it. We still love those old movies. He chose Mount St. Michael for his high school, and that’s where Bill and I went. He chose Iona for his college, and that’s where Bill and I went. He studied accounting, and that’s what Bill and I studied as well. He met Leo Keane and went to work for him, and Bill and I followed. That led to a great summer job at G.G. Marina that lasted throughout my teenage years and more. That is where I met my future wife and love of my life Lynne. He was a talented musician and because of that I learned that I was tone deaf and had no musical ability. There were so many other influences John had on us siblings. I will always regret that I didn’t spend more time remembering old times with him. He knew so much about our youth that I have forgotten. John, I hope you rest in peace. I hope you meet my son Bryan, Mom and Dad, and our grandparents. You will be sorely missed, but you will always be in our hearts. Your brother Jim. “I'll find you in the morning sun And when the night is new I'll be looking at the moon But I'll be seeing you.”
