Condolences

Condolence From: Pat Leonhardt
Condolence: We are totally heartbroken at the loss of Alice, our Mom's true friend at St. Johnland's Nursing Center and 2nd Mom to me and my 2 sisters Ann & Vera. Alice is a beautiful person inside and outside and we will miss her adorable laugh and smile terribly. Alice was a happy face to Mom & us on the first day we brought Mom to St. Johnland's Nursing Center. This was such a difficult day for us, but Alice's outlook made it so much easier for us. She was Mom's first and best roommate ever! Alice & Mom immediately bonded, and held hands and laughed most of that day. Whenever we decorated their room for all holiday occasions, we always purchased the same for Mom's wonderful friend. We honored Alice on Mother's Day too, as this is how we felt about her. They stayed dear friends even when Alice was fortunate to get a private room. We were devastated for Mom but happy for Alice. No matter what, they still have remained close friends. Alice was a wiz at making crafts and always thought of the staff in making scarfs for everyone for Christmas. She made the 4 of us needle point ornaments and myself a scarf as well, which we will cherish forever. Alice has not been in the best of health for quite some time and hope she is out of pain now. We will miss her dearly and only hope that she is happy and may she rest in peace. We love you with all our hearts, Alice, now, always and forever. Until we meet again. Love, Elvira (Vera), Pat, Ann & Vera xoxoxoxoxo
