Obituary for Quynterra Qualyea Rhodes

Quynterra Qualyea Rhodes
Quynterra Qualyea Rhodes, lovingly known as, “Queenie” was born in Mineola, New York on June 6, 1989, to the proud parents of Orlando and Janetta Rhodes.

Queenie attended Kings Park Sr. High School and continued her education at Fashion Institute of Technology.

At 9 years old, Queenie, started her own business sitting for pets and children. She would take the money she earned and give it to others in need. She truly cared for everyone and didn’t exclude anyone.

She was worked hard first getting her feet wet working in Customer Service at a Bridal Company then as a Stock Broker and her final job as a Outside Sales Representative for Optimum Cablevision.

Queenie was an “old soul”, she loved music from the 70’s and 80’s, and she loved to cook next to her mother in the kitchen. She was edgy, definitely a “Fashionista” and would create and sew her own clothing.

For the last 6 ½ years, she shared her life and dreams with her Life Partner
Iosif Yagudayev, “Jay” she affectionately referred to him as “Boohbalah”.

Queenie was intelligent, beautiful, vibrant, hardworking, passionate, caring, she light up the room where she was. You would smile just from the sound of her voice; she exuded confidence in her walk, her talk and her mannerism’s. She was a brilliant star in a small world!

She is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Izora Rhodes-Armstead, Laverne A. Porter and Ashley Leon Porter. Queenie’s spirit will live through her loving parents, Orlando and Janetta Rhodes, and her brother, Terrance Rhodes. She is also survived by her Grandfather, Roosevelt Rhodes, Grand Aunt, LaVersa Pier, Uncles: Ernest (Sherrie), Aloysius (Nicolette), Raynard (Patricia), Warren (Evelyn) Rhodes. Rev. Jon’e Harris (Keisha), Ashley Porter (Nicole). Aunts: Dynelle Rhodes and Keisha Rhodes, Stephanie Porter-Reid (William) from the San Francisco Bay Area, God Father Vincent Booker Jr from Florida. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who share an endless deep love who will miss her dearly, and will keep her close to their hearts.
