Condolences

Condolence From: Gerard Switzer
Condolence: Dear Aunt Mary, Michael, Mark, Peter and family,
I have wonderful memories of Uncle John. I always felt the love and warmth he had for us kids whenever he was around. He had a great sense of humor too, always kidding with us. It's funny how some memories remain sharp and clear in spite of the passage of time. Whenever Uncle John was over for a visit, it seemed to be my brother John's and my bath time that night. We would emerge in our pajamas and Uncle John absolutely had to have us come over for inspection of our hair to see that it was clean and had that Breck Shampoo clean smell and feel. Of course, I don't ever remember failing inspection.
I have always felt it a great blessing to have had him as someone to look up to and emulate. He could not hide his strong faith and it sustained him. You are in my prayers, that your faith will sustain you too.

Love,
Gerard

Condolence: Aunt Mary, Peter, Mark and Michael and your families - So sorry for your loss. Uncle John was a very special Uncle and will be missed by all of us. I will always remember his birds! And I will always hear him singing to me whenever I hear "When I go to sleep, I never count sheep, I count all the charms about Linda...." I, too, am thrilled to have been his "favorite niece"! How special that we ALL were! Bless you, Uncle John.....

Condolence From: Kathy (Finn) & Bob Logan
Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers go out to Aunt Mary and all the Emilios. I have very fond memories of visits to Long Island as a kid to see the Emilios. Uncle Johnny was a kind and soft-spoken man that everyone wanted to be around. I especially remember a weekend visit many years ago that Bob and I made shortly before we were married. We were treated like royalty and it was a joy to be in such a happy home. Uncle Johnny will be missed by all who knew him and we have another angel watching over us. Rest in peace Uncle Johnny.

Condolence: My deepest sympathies to Aunt Mary and the entire Emilio family. Growing up with an uncle like John Emilio was a blessing for me and although we didn't visit Long Island often, my memories of Uncle John were ones filled with laughter, love and a living example of what a family man should be. The world lost a great man, and one of Uncle John's greatest legacies will forever be the example he set as a father, a grandfather, a husband, an uncle and an American Patriot. Rest in peace Uncle John....
